Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday said educated youth were the real strength of Pakistan and higher education guaranteed a bright future for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Addressing the 7th convocation of ABASYN University as chief guest, he urged graduates to become ambassadors of innovation, research and development instead of merely seeking jobs.

The Governor said KP youth possessed immense talent and should acquire modern education and market-oriented skills to meet contemporary challenges. He appreciated the role of teachers and parents in nation-building and advised students to adopt honesty, hard work and strong character in practical life.

Talking to media, Governor Kundi said a federal committee had been formed to address the CNG closure issue and representatives of the provincial government and opposition would soon hold talks with the committee.

Referring to wheat transportation, he said the province demanded its due share of water from the federation, adding that proper water supply could help overcome wheat shortages.

He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had suffered greatly due to terrorism and praised the sacrifices of security forces for maintaining peace. He also stressed the need for better governance and elimination of terrorism in the province.
