The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi attended the funeral prayers of police officer Hameed Shah, who was martyred while performing his duty during recent protests in Islamabad. The martyred officer sacrificed his life in the line of duty, protecting public peace.

During the funeral, Governor KP expressed his condolences to the martyr's son, brother, and fellow officers, stating that his sacrifice will always be remembered, and the nation honours his great courage He further emphasized that law enforcement officers are rendering unparalleled services for the country's security and the protection of its people, and the martyr's sacrifice symbolizes the unwavering commitment to maintaining the nation's peace and stability.

The funeral was also attended by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, senior police officials, other government figures, citizens, and a large number of police officers. Strict security arrangements were in place during the event. Police officers present at the funeral called the Governor's participation a gesture of solidarity from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, healing their wounds after their comrade was martyred by protesters led by the province's Chief Minister.
