Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi attends as Chief Guest international Environmental Conference held in Islamabad in connection with World Environment Day.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday said that environmental degradation poses a severe threat to the survival of life on earth, and the rapid changes caused by climate shifts are resulting in natural disasters that bring massive loss of life and property. He emphasized the urgent need to adopt eco-friendly practices and strictly implement comprehensive environmental planning to mitigate these risks.

The Governor made these remarks while addressing a Global Environmental Conference held in Islamabad in connection with World Environment Day. The event was organized by Brain Designer and the Global Trade and Tourism Center. Governor Kundi participated as the chief guest at the conference, which brought together foreign diplomats stationed in Pakistan, environmental experts, members of the corporate sector, students, and professionals from various walks of life.

Speaking at the conference, Governor Kundi stressed the importance of a united strategy to counter the negative impacts of climate change. He highlighted the necessity for thinkers, experts, and stakeholders to come together on a common platform to develop a practical and actionable roadmap aimed at minimizing environmental losses through mutual dialogue and collaboration.

President of Brain Designer and Global Trade and Tourism Center, Muhammad Rauf Raja, welcomed the participants and shed light on the objectives of the conference, which focused on environmental pollution, climate change, and global warming.

Other notable speakers at the event included Javed Ali Khan, Country Head of UN-Habitat in Pakistan, and environmental experts such as Syed Sadat Hussain Shah. They shared valuable insights and proposed measures to prevent further ecological destruction.

The conference concluded with the distribution of shields and souvenirs among the participants in recognition of their contributions.
