Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday emphasized the importance of training young leaders and equipping them with knowledge about regional and global challenges so they can play an active role in shaping a brighter future for the country. He expressed these views while addressing the opening ceremony of the SCO Simulation Conference organized by the Organization of Islamic Youth in Islamabad. The event was attended by President of the Organization of Islamic Youth Hammad Khan Kakar, along with various dignitaries and aspiring young leaders.
In his speech, Governor Kundi said that the conference serves not only as an educational platform but also as a unique opportunity to instill practical diplomatic, collaborative, and leadership skills in youth. “This simulation provides a powerful platform for our youth to engage in discussions on critical regional and global issues, developing the insight and abilities needed to become confident and visionary leaders,” he remarked. Highlighting the role of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Governor said it unites diverse nations under a spirit of mutual trust and development, a need that is more urgent than ever in today’s interconnected world. He further said that from regional security and climate change to sustainable development and technological advancement, the SCO symbolizes shared responsibility and collective cooperation. Governor Kundi extended his best wishes for the success of the conference and expressed hope that such initiatives would continue to inspire young minds and encourage their active participation in international affairs.
