A delegation of the Thall Qaumi Jirga, led by Malik Jamil, called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor House in here on Wednesday. The delegation included Tehsil Mayor Mufti Imran and other prominent figures from the area.
During the meeting, the Jirga apprised the Governor of several pressing issues affecting the region, including prolonged electricity load shedding and inadequate healthcare and educational facilities. The delegation urged the Governor to take immediate steps to address these concerns, especially by engaging with Wapda officials regarding the electricity crisis.
Governor Kundi assured the delegation that he would personally contact the Chief of PESCO to seek a resolution to the power-related issues. He expressed concern over the provincial government's lack of attention to crucial public service sectors, saying that health and education fall within its jurisdiction. The Governor also pledged to speak with relevant authorities about restoring the vocational institute in Thall to provide skills training opportunities for local youth.
