Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi distributes Gold Medal Awards to exporters during a ceremony arranged by All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association at Governor House on Tuesday

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has said that exporters and business leaders associated with Pakistan’s export industry are the backbone of the national economy. He emphasized that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is rich in agricultural, industrial, and mineral resources and holds immense potential for growth across various sectors. He made these remarks while addressing a  Gold Medal Award ceremony hosted by the All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (APCEA) at the Governor’s House, Peshawar, on Tuesday. 

The event was attended by APCEA Chairman Iftikhar Ahmad, Patron-in-Chief Haji Mamoor, former Chairman Mushtaq Ahmad, Senior Vice President Hanan Khan, TDAP Director Nauman Bashir, along with exporters and members of the business community. Chairman Iftikhar Ahmad thanked the Governor for hosting the ceremony at the Governor’s House and highlighted APCEA’s objectives aimed at boosting the country's exports. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Governor for lifting the ban on gemstones. He also requested the Governor’s support in removing provincial taxes on exports and inaugurating the Pakistan Pavilion at the upcoming trade fair in Germany.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Kundi welcomed the exporters and appreciated their dedication, honesty, and contribution to promoting the country's exports. He congratulated the award recipients and praised their role in uplifting the national image and serving as role models for youth. He remarked that the ceremony was not only a celebration of quality and competitiveness in the export sector but also a recognition of the significant contribution made by exporters to the national economy. The Governor assured that the Government of Pakistan and the Governor’s Office are committed to facilitating the business community in every possible way. He stressed the need for simplifying policies, providing business training to youth, and creating better opportunities for entrepreneurship. Highlighting Pakistan’s geographic advantage, particularly that of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said the province serves as a vital gateway to Central Asia, and a well-devised strategy can significantly boost regional exports. He further added that projecting Pakistan’s soft image is a collective responsibility, and the business community has an important role in this regard. “A prosperous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a developed Pakistan is our shared goal, and we must continue striving together without losing hope,” he said. At the end of the ceremony, Governor Kundi distributed gold medal awards among top-performing exporters recognized by APCEA.
