Ethiopian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi in Islamabad on Friday. The two dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interest, including trade and investment, culture, climate change, tourism promotion, and strengthening bilateral cooperation between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Ethiopia.

Governor Kundi highlighted that the northern areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with their natural beauty, scenic landscapes, and rich historical heritage, attract tourists from across the world. He said that the province offers vast opportunities for foreign investment, particularly in the tourism and development sectors, adding that the government welcomes international investors to explore these prospects. The Governor further said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a land of ancient civilization, diverse culture, and abundant natural resources, and that the government is striving to utilize these resources for the welfare and prosperity of local communities. Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula lauded Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the security forces and police in the fight against terrorism. He also expressed keen interest in expanding mutual cooperation, especially in the tourism sector.
