ISLAMABAD: FEBRUARY 2, 2026:
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi held a meeting with Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid here on Monday to discuss matters related to financial assistance for poor and deserving segments of the population in the province.
During the meeting, the BISP Chairperson briefed the Governor on various ongoing programmes being implemented in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under BISP. The discussion also focused on proposals to further enhance transparency in the mechanism of financial assistance and stipends provided under the programme. The provision of financial aid to flood-affected families was a key point of discussion. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized that the registration of flood-affected households in the province should be completed at the earliest to ensure timely disbursement of financial assistance to deserving families before the start of Ramadan. Senator Rubina Khalid assured the Governor that the process of releasing funds under BISP would be expedited to facilitate eligible beneficiaries without delay. It was also agreed during the meeting that deserving affected families from Tirah Valley would be provided financial assistance under the Benazir Income Support Programme.
