Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi met with Chaudhary Abdullah Barsa, the youngest South Asian to be newly elected as a consul member from Groveport. The Governor warmly congratulated Mr. Abdullah Barsa on his historic achievement and extended his full support and best wishes for a successful and impactful tenure. He appreciated the growing representation of Pakistani-origin leaders in international civic institutions and underscored the importance of strengthening people-to-people ties between Pakistan and the United States.
During the meeting, Mr. Abdullah Barsa invited the Governor to Columbus to attend the USA Tent Pegging Championship, scheduled to be held in August 2026. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi accepted the invitation and conveyed his willingness to join the event as Chief Guest, highlighting tent pegging as a shared cultural and sporting heritage that promotes positive soft power for Pakistan abroad. Both leaders also held a constructive discussion on several key issues faced by Pakistani Americans, including community engagement, cultural representation, and strengthening institutional linkages to better serve the diaspora. The meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment to promoting Pakistan’s positive image internationally and enhancing collaboration with Pakistani communities overseas through sports, culture, and civic leadership.
