Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday held meeting with Federal Secretary for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry and discussed matters concerning overseas Pakistanis. During the meeting, both sides held a detailed discussion on issues faced by Pakistanis living abroad, particularly students, and the facilities being provided to them. The federal secretary informed that approval had been granted for the establishment of a Protectorate Office in Dera Ismail Khan, which would be inaugurated within the current year. The Governor said that overseas Pakistanis were a valuable asset to the country and the largest contributors of foreign exchange. He added that the establishment of the Protectorate Office in D.I. Khan would facilitate people from southern districts seeking employment abroad. Faisal Karim Kundi also stressed the need for improved facilities, guidance, and support for Pakistani students abroad to ensure they could pursue their education without difficulties. On the occasion, the Governor congratulated the federal secretary on the successful holding of the Overseas Convention.
